Everyone has heard of the “your life flashes before your eyes when you die” situation, but not many people know the reason for it.

When something goes wrong, your brain can usually deal with it by using past experiences to deal with things. For example, falling over, your brain knows that if you dont stop yourself you will get hurt, this has been learned when you were very small and fell over without stopping yourself.

This goes on, instantly in your brain without you realising, all throughout your life, thats why kids are always hurting themselves alot when falling over whereas adults can usually sort themselves out. Your brain learns how to deal with certain situations.

When youre dying, your brain knows that something is very wrong. But your brain has never died before, it doesnt know what to do, it cant find anything instantly.

So it frantically searches through your memories for a similar experience in an act to try and save you. But it cant find one. So it keeps searching and searching until your very last breath.

I’m sure I’ve posted this before but….

If there was a soundtrack for my life….this would be it.

 

It’s just so classic (at least for me). It raises emotion of hope, happiness, peace and taking chances….!

I really believe that what I do now is just the start of my life and the world is finally my oyster since I have no obligations to finish school for someone or work to save up…I can do what I want. Finally!

Although every now and then I still have to check in to my mom and be like “Hey, I’m alive.” I think it’s hard for her other people in my family to see that I am happier leading this lifestyle. That, at least not right now, do I want to find a job to build a career nor do I want to settle down with anyone just yet. Maybe my biological clock will tick in a few years and I will want all that, but not now. 

Anyway, I don’t want to rant so enjoy this :

I was 25 she was 23 and we were introduced to each other by a mutual acquaintance in a night club. We instantly clicked. And I really mean that as less than two hours later we had decided to get married (we were very drunk).

However when we met up during the day the following week for a date the date lasted 12 hours and we decided that we actually were going to get married.

Everyone thought we were crazy and especially when three months later we had bought a place together.

A year later we got married.

Seven years later we had kids.

Next month we’ll be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary.

So after 8 days of waiting and waiting and waiting…I finally got my criminal record check in the mail! Now to scan, save and print all my documents and submit into the mail to lovely South Korea on Monday. LIFE IS HAPPENING TOO FAST.
